It is finally here!
We were all getting a tad impatient, but finally, we woke up this morning to the exciting news of the official logo of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv! inspired by the event slogan, Dare to Dream, Israeli Host Broadcaster KAN and the EBU, unveiled this year's artwork; three triangles that create a golden star.
According to KAN,"The triangle, one of the world's oldest shapes, is a cornerstone symbol found universally in art, music, cosmology and nature, representing connection and creativity. As the triangles join and combine, they become a new single entity reflecting the infinite stellar sky, as the stars of the future come together in Tel Aviv for the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest,”.
Jan Ola Sand, the Executive Supervisor of the contest said: “We are delighted with the logo accompanying KAN’s slogan for ESC 2019 - Dare to Dream - which perfectly complements the fantastic angular stage design created by Florian Wieder. We hope the creative theme for this year’s competition inspires the 42 contestants coming together in Tel Aviv in May, as they dream of becoming the stars of the future”.
And what do we think? We love it! It somehow resembles the Star of David, some might say, it also resembles the outline of Israel, and it seems that between the stage design, the slogan and the logo - there is a very clean and cohesive theme.
So what is your dream? Dare to dream!
